Le forme sono uno degli aspetti più importanti delle composizioni fotografiche creative.
Gli esseri viventi e gli oggetti inanimati, compreso l’ambiente costruito, si presentano in molte forme e i fotografi spesso si affidano alle possibilità creative offerte dalla loro forma.
Mentre in alcuni casi le immagini delle cose hanno solo una funzione rappresentativa, all’altro estremo dello spettro la fotografia astratta si concentra su forme e forme fine a se stesse fino al punto in cui non riusciamo più a riconoscere gli oggetti raffigurati stessi.
Tra l’essere insignificante o l’unico elemento significativo, la forma delle forme riconoscibili può anche essere la componente compositiva trainante di un’immagine.
Cioè, la forma degli esseri viventi e degli oggetti può essere di importanza centrale per la composizione di fotografie non solo nella fotografia astratta, ma anche virtualmente in tutti gli altri generi fotografici.
Queste immagini catturano la nostra attenzione e si distinguono per la loro forma compositiva creativa.

Shapes are one of the most important aspects of creative photographic compositions. Living beings and inanimate objects, including the built environment come in many forms, and photographers often rely on the creative possibilities offered by their shape. While in some cases the images of things only have a depictive function, at the other end of the spectrum abstract photography concentrates on shapes and forms for their own sake up to a point when we can no longer recognise the depicted objects themselves. Between being either insignificant or the only significant element, the shape of recognisable forms may also be the driving compositional component of an image. That is, the shape of living beings and objects may be of central importance to the composition of photographs not only in abstract photography but also in virtually all other photographic genres. These images capture our attention and stand out for their creative compositional form.
This PH21 Gallery exhibition is presented in Rome, Italy, in collaboration with KromArt Gallery and Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia Adams, a renowned Italian centre for photography.
